Celluloid is hard yet flexible, so deformation is less likely, even when eyewear is carved out of thin sheet material. Therefore nowadays, it is common to use thin celluloid sheet, like 4mm, that has promised the comfort to wear with light weight. Thick celluloid sheet, like 8mm, used be frequently handled in the past, yet it is the exception only for fashion specialized eyewear, due to its heaviness that causes discomfort.

“HEAVY EDITION” is our big challenge, that features 8mm celluloid sheet for the first time in BJ CLASSIC COLLECTION. Inherited and traditional artisanship of celluloid craftsmen and up to date technology are fully combined to complete the rugged eyewear that is exclusive, yet super comfortable to wear.

RIVET

FRONT FRAME

In order to make a front frame as light and comfortable as possible, a three-dimensional machine cut is treated, while it sticks the specification that focus on cutting in 0.1mm increments.

HINGE

A plate type hinge is chosen to use, in order to achieve a wearing comfort of 8mm extra thick frame, with its high flexibility. Long-term wearing comfort is promised, thanks to an exquisite hold feel.

PAD ARM＆NOSE PAD

A rigidity is given to pad arms by delicately adjusted heating to be able to support the weight of a front frame firmly. Additionally, its length has been fine-tuned to accomplish a comfortable and firm fit.

A nose pad is made of pure titanium, that promises smooth skin touch and never causes metal allergy or rust.

TEMPLE

A temple end is designed to have enough weight to prevent the front frame coming down on the face. And appropriate balance is set on the temple thickness to let it have mild skin touch.
